This walk follows a route of great beauty. We start from the coastal town of Tamariu, located at the foot of the Sant Sebastià Lighthouse. We continue along the coastal path, which is mainly wild, and cross pine forests and walk along seaside pathways. We take a break at Cala Pedrosa to feel the pebbles and dip our feet in the sea. After this, we visit the Sant Sebastià Lighthouse, located about 187m above sea level, which offers spectacular panoramic views and is a first-rate monumental complex that houses, the 1856 Lighthouse, the medieval tower, the Iberian town, and the Sant Sebastià hermitage.
The El Far hotel restaurant is considered one of the best in the area, located in a privileged location with stunning views. Its high-quality cuisine, seafood tradition, and fresh products from the Costa Brava, will awaken all five senses.
One of the must-sees during your trip to Empordà is the medieval town of Peratallada. This beautiful town still preserves the authenticity that many other towns have lost over time. Strolling through its cobbled streets you will surely discover a magnificent heritage: a 9m deep moat dug into the bedrock, the castle and palace of the feudal family of the Cruïlles and Peratallada, its charming little squares, the gateways and towers and not to mention the church located outside the city walls, surrounded by lush vegetation.
